Peanuts in the flower bed

Posted by johnsaunt 7 (My Page) on

Those crazy squirrels apparently planted many of the peanuts that we fed them--beautiful peanut plants are coming up in all the flowerbeds! The plants are quite handsome and the flowers are beautiful, so they'll definitely stay. Can anyone here give me advice about growing them?

Thanks, Ginny

Well, maybe squirrels also like to see those peanuts growing rather than eating them....lol... I have searched from Google about growing peanuts.

Here is a link that might be useful: growing peanuts

Thanks for the link. I'm afraid that they won't have grown long enough to make peanuts, but I'll find out after the first frost kills the plants & I pull them up. In the meantime, I guess they're fixing nitrogen in the soil, so that should be good for the other plants.
