saving raspberry seeds

I was at a park where I found large red raspberries. I picked and ate some and decided to pick a few for seeds to replant at home. I put the seeds in peat with vermiculite and thought they may germanate. Now reading some posts..I may have to uncover them and dry them out first then freeze them before planting in spring. What should I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks John in Pa.

RE: saving raspberry seeds

Were they raspberries or the similar "thimbleberry"?
