For the year and a half that I've owned my home, I've had an organic garden at the back of the yard, but allowed myself a pest control treatment around the foundation of my home (far away from my garden). Now that I'm running out of garden space, I'm starting to think of expanding my edibles into my front beds. I'm wondering how people deal with foundation pest control issues when they put edibles near the house. I'm not so concerned about keeping the front garden organic necessarily but just safe. If I plant edibles near the house, should I just give up on the idea of a foundation pest control and accept that I'll have a certain number of spiders, roaches, and ants in my home? What is your strategy?
