I ordered a Sunshine Blueberry. Right now it's only about 8 inches high. Any advice on keeping it potted and if so what soil and fert. Will it fair better in the ground?

Blueberry's like more acid soil, so when I planted mine I mixed in a lot of peat moss into the soil mixture (which makes the soil more acidic). If you are potting them, you will need to be really careful to make sure it doesn't dry out, since I've observed that my blueberries seem to be more sensative to lack of water.

The roots tend to be somewhat shallow, so be careful with digging around the plant.

Other then that, they are a really low maintenance plant. Some people like to prune up some of the 3+ year old growth to open up the bush more, but it really isn't necessary.
