Taro root questions

Hey everyone,

So I harvested my first crop of Taro root today! I'm rather happy with it and find it awesome to have found all these little balls of roots.

Does anyone have any experience with growing Taro root? First since many of these roots are rather small, should I have left them in the ground longer? Also how do you store fresh taro root? Will they keep for a while?

1newport, were you growing them in water? I have been trying an aquaponics system but have not tried Taro. I buy the tubers in the Asian market and they keep for a while, dried, but eventually will try to mold. Here is a thread about Taro from an aquaponics group from Australia.
