Outrageously expensive in the stores and I am growing Dinkum in containers here in New Orleans!
Be sure to have a plan to control the thorny canes in cages or on lines; I don't think the thornless raspberries do well in warmer areas.
You could plant dwarf apple trees in your zone; they are not much bigger than big blueberry bushes.

Aronia is a 'northern' plant - may do OK in N.AL, but it may not like the heat - though I've seen 'em growing OK in central KY, and the summers there are pretty hot & steamy, too.
Personally, I wasn't too impressed with the taste of the chokeberries I've sampled - underwhelmed enough so that I wouldn't plant 'em for the berries, though I have seen photos of great red fall leaf color on 'em.
