I was just wondering. I know flaxseeds have Omega-3 fatty acids, but are there others.

I'll second Purslane (which is a weed in many parts of the country, though there are cultivated varieties available from European seed sources)

Also check out Flax seeds. In fact, if I recall correctly (and I'll admit its been a while) many seeds contain Omega 3 oils, just not necessarily in as high quantities as the previously mentioned plants)

Also squash seeds, soybean & canola oil, sunflower seeds and leafy vegetables. Plus hemp seed and oil for those outside the US. Canola and soybean oil found in supermarket vegetable oils has been denatured by processing, though, and isn't a good source for AHA's.

Some types of algae are also good sources.

whole grains/flax is the best way to go, imo

Plant Foods Rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Green leafy vegetables (lettuce, broccoli, kale, purslane, spinach, etc.)

Legumes (mungo*, kidney, navy, pinto, or lima beans, peas or split peas, etc.)

Citrus fruits, melons, cherries

Ground flaxseed

* Mungo beans are particularly high in omega-3 fatty acids.

Stiped Kakai pumpkins have seeds with no hull. If you like pumpkin seeds and they are rich in omega I would try the kakai. I love not having to peel the seeds.
