postage raise again?

It seems like the post office charges and extra cent a year for postage, in terms of domestic mail, and almost five to ten cents for across boarder and international mail. But on the happy side, they are issuing out permanant stamps, stamps that retain their value even if the postage rate goes up by a few cents, gotta start buying thsoe when they come out! Just wanted to let everyone know who doesn't already.

RE: postage raise again?

Back in late February, I went to buy a few penny stamps to add that extra penny stamp to my existing but now outdated sheet of stamps but the post office at shoppers drug mart said I didn't need the extra penny stamp as the post office was honoring the old rate to get these stamps out of circulation.

Didn't ask if there was an expiry date on this offer but so far all my letters keep ending up at their destinations across Canada.

They'll do this for the rest of 2007 (I did ask - twice - about the expiry on their offer, 'cause when I told DH he didn't believe me :)
