WANTED: Colocasia Esculenta

Hi everyone! I am looking for a rhizome or tuber of Colocasia Esculenta..the black leaved variety. I already have the green. If anyone has one up for trade please take a look at my trade list or e-mail me and we can try to work out a trade. Thankyou in advance. Ross.

Hi Ross,

Calocasia esculenta is the green leaf variety. The black leaf variety doesn't produce the same tuber as the green. I had to resort to getting a small plant to start with.

GTG: Thanks for the response to my post and the heads up re: the Colocasia Esculenta. I guess I will await what the garden centre has to offer in the spring. Thanks again. Ross.

Ross you can get the tubers from the super market ..especially at the Loblaws superstore usually called Taro's or eddoes.
