WANTED: Purple flesh potatoes

I'm searching for seed potatoes of the purple variety and can't seem to get them in Canada. I mean the entirely purple heirlooms, not the All Blue variety with the white marbling. I keep hearing about them for sale as table potatoes at Vancouver farmer's markets, but I'm in Alberta and not planning to go to BC any time soon. I've tried all of the online searches I can think of, and have had no luck. Little help?

RE: WANTED: Purple flesh potatoes

Hi Bronwynn: I don't know if this will be of much help to you, but several years ago I grew purple potatoes. I got the seed potatoes from a place called Ritchie's Feed & Seed which is, as the name suggests, a feed company, but which also carries a wide variety of seeds, nursery plants, and general gardening supplies. There are 2 sites in this area, but I am not sure if there are any others in the province. Perhaps you can find a similar outfit in your area.
