WANTED: Hardy kiwi

Does anyone grow a hardy kiwi here in Ontario that actually produces edible fruit? Is there such a thing? I know ornamental hardy kiwi vines grow here, but do they produce fruit that ripens in this climate?

If you have one that does this, would you consider saving seeds from a very ripe fruit for me? How many years from seed to fruit?

RE: WANTED: Hardy kiwi

I am growing fruiting kiwi in the Annapolis Valley in NS. They are grown commercially here too. This is my first year for blossoms on mine, but they sure like to grow here.I am planning to try to root some vines from the mother plants(male & female plants). If you email me and I am successful, I can send you some rooted plants later this season. Or if you just want to try seeds, if the fruit comes out, I'll set some aside for you too. Don't forget to email me.
