| Hi, I am in the Montreal area, I am looking for unusual Hibiscus,I can't find any sellers in canada..Your help appriciated, I fell in love with the blue one, They are expensive too...Do cuttings work out to give the same color as the Mother plant?

| Cuttings are always the same as the mother plant as it's a clone. I'm not sure how a cutting would work on a Hibiscus though maybe if you tried rooting a softwood cutting in the spring. The hard wood would need to be grafted onto a root stock I would think. I have Marina (blue) Hibiscus syriakus seeds (rose of sharon) if you are interested I'm not certain if they will be true to variety but they would be very pretty regardless. |
