HAVE: ya gotta try these (Hunnemannia)

Hi all,

Raining today, weather above 10c, and the Hunnemannia thinks its springtime again. I didn't think we'd have a long enough season for many seeds to ripen on this California native, especially since I deadheaded until mid-August. Now there's a ton of seed ripening and I'd love to share them.

Hunnemannia (Mexican Tulip Poppy) is a tender perennial that will bloom from mid-summer to hard frost if started early. These were the surprise of the season for me-- even before the blooms started, the blue-green fernlike foliage was gorgeous. No pests, drought tolerant. About 18" tall, in full sun. I've got plants STILL trying to bloom.

This is a photo from the T&M site. The "real" colour is a little brighter, more lemon yellow.

So, I have at least five trades of about 20 seeds if anyone would like to try this beautiful flower in 2009.

Please check out my trade list so we can arrange multiple trades.
