RE: WANTED: wanted chinese lantern

What do you need, seeds or plants. I am in Ottawa and my plants are right now burried in foot and a half snow. If you remind me in spring (here in May), I can dig out and send bareroot if that is what you want (I have never collected its seeds).
But why will you want Chines lanterns? I am digging them out because they are invasive and spreading all over. I wish the garden homes inform customers of the invasive nature of such invasive plants.

RE: WANTED: wanted chinese lantern

I used to have a patch for drying the little lanterns look really beatiful in an arrangement or just by themselves with red bows on them

RE: WANTED: wanted chinese lantern

Be careful what you ask for!! You may never get rid of them.
If you want them plant them where you know they cannot spread!!! I tried to get rid of some for FIVE years and gave up - I painted every leaf that came up with Round-up and it still took two years to get rid of them!!!!

RE: WANTED: wanted chinese lantern

I have a package of seeds I received in a round robin. If you are still looking for seed, you are welcome to send me a sase for them. Let me know. Thanks...Heather
