WANTED: Supplies for new home owner/gardener

Hi all,

I just moved into a house and am trying to start a good garden/yard. I'm looking for supplies to help in the process - I have already bought a shovel, trowel, rake, and basic hand-held clippers for the yard. Anything that anyone has laying around and is not using that would help a new gardener would be awesome!

Some of the things I'm looking for in particular right now are if anyone has some they are not using:
-supplies to help fertilize and/or fight diseases/pests for rhodies, azaleas, camelias, photinia and/or bamboo
-electric/handheld hedger (got clippers already)
-large pots for shrubs/trees
-bulb digger
-soil ammendments
-birdseed
-supplies to help transplanting and growing cuttings
-flagstone

if we lived closer i could help you out,but postage is just to high,but wanted to give you a tip.try freecycle in your area,watch paper for estate auctions that list gardening supplies,and call or visit a local owned nursery and somtimes if you buy from them they have all kinds of pots they will give you or sell cheap,my nursery has a pot exchange. hope this helps
