I'm new to this forum... but FYI on ebay you can buy a 40 lb bag of horticultural (Krum brand) vermiculite for $10. The shipping cost me $13 but it still seems a bargain since I live in the boondocks and can't even find vermiculite or perlite. I bought 80 lbs since I'm dealing with a couple of BIG projects both at home and at my lake cabin.
I'm mainly interested in perrenials suitable for zone 5b or 6 but I'm not too fussy. How much vermiculite would you like? I may soon buy another 120 lbs.
