WANTED: One-seeded Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna)

Hello,

I'm looking for a sapling of Crataegus monogyna commonly called One-seeded Hawthorn. This variety is not to be confused with English Hawthorn which is Crataegus oxyacantha (syn. Crataegus laevigata).

This plant has been classified by the California Invasive Plant Council (IPC) as "invasive" which is a shame since it is provides valuable habitat for several species of birds and it produces an abundance of bright red berries which make a tasty jam. The tender young leaves and flowers are also edible and can be used in salads or made into a tea. If anyone has any of these "invasives" that they would like to get rid of, I would be more than happy to pay for shipping.

Thank you very much,

Edward
