| Werner, I have a very small patch of yellow lady's slipper which I *think* is pubescens. I would be willing to trade one for the bloodroot but I am not sure if I can divide without damaging my lady's slippers. I remember reading in Bill Collina's book on wildflowers that some species will die if you mess with them. I got the book from the library so can't check it to see which. I also don't know when would be the best time to try dividing. I am going to the library tomorrow and will try and remember to check the info in his book if it isn't checked out. |
