Hmmmmmmm zone 4 huh? Damn if I know what will grow way up yonder but I would ask you to take a peak at my list. I would love starts of the Eryngium yuccifolium you have.

Hmmmm...zone 4 ya say? Dagnabbit...am not sure what grows in snow :o) It only snows in the deep south tip of Texas maybe once every 100 years.

Am interested in adding Rattlesnake Master to my butterfly garden though. Please have a look-see at my exchange list...maybe there is something on there you are familiar with or would like to experiment with.

I have natives, crane fly orchid, wild gingers, grape fern and others.
