WANTED: Does anyone have sassafras?

I love sassafras trees but haven't been blessed with any. Does anyone have them growing out of control? (or at least have a few to spare)
Thanks,
Greg

RE: WANTED: Does anyone have sassafras?

you realize they are notoriously difficult to transplant?
there are some nurseries that offer them but what success at getting established is unknown.

you are either blessed or not- we live in Calvinist New England.

i have some seeds stratifying in a plastic bag in the crisper of a fridge no longer under my control!

the other half of the bag of seeds I planted with no success

i got the seeds through here gardenweb
you might try putting out a call for seeds rather than plants.

try the seed exchange here
