WANTED: 6' or bigger rhododendrons

Posted by greenelephant Woodinville WA (My Page) on

I am looking to grow a rhodie hedge along 50 feet of fenceline at the church for screening for one of our neighbors. I'm looking for some big rhodies that grow 12+ feet. We have several beauties on the property that are just too big to transplant. So what would be ideal is a big standard rhodie that is relatively young and easy to dig, something that two guys can dig and get into a pickup truck bed. Prefer within 1/2 hour of Redmond. Or if you are really up for this, bring it to the Green Elephant on Saturday March 7, 10 AM to Noon.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim,
I have a nice looking 7 footer for you----light purple blooms, and IT'S BEEN DUG UP!
Let me know if you're interested. The rhody is in Edmonds, not far from the ferry terminal.
It was dug yesterday, and the root ball wrapped in plastic.
Not sure of the cultivar, and ultimate size.
Email me for directions...
