I'm getting interested in growing hellbores. Because they bloom the second year they are very expensive to buy in the nursery. I was wondering if you can propagate them from cuttings and if so, how and when. Alternately, does anyone in NE or SE Portland have any that they are planning to divide and would be willing to share? I'm also looking for astilbes, dicentra, and other shade tolerant plants.
