Does anyone have 5gal pots (or larger) that you want to get rid of in the Vancouver area?

Would be willing to trade for veggie starts.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave, try the bakery counter at your local grocery store for 5-gal buckets. Some will give them away for free, others might charge $1. They aren't as UV-stable as the black nursery pots (they will get brittle after a year or two in the sun) but depending on your need. they can be more versatile- control how big your drainage holes should be, or set one inside another to create a self-watering pot. I prefer them for plants that come indoors in the winter as they are easier to keep clean, and sometimes the handle is convenient too.
