WANTED: Info Needed: Columnar Conifers

I'm looking for an upright conifer - can't seem to locate a fit. Would like a 30-40 foot erect (somewhat columnar) tree that is sparsely branched - not too wide or spreading. Anyone have any ideas? I've heard there is a cupressus that might fit the bill but most of what I've seen are too dense. Need to be able to see through the branches - think light, airy....

you might want to post to the regular NW forum or conifer forum instead of the exchange forum to get more ideas.

There are quite a few narrow columnar conifers, but sparse and airy may only occur if you thin and prune.
