Any ideas for fall trades this year? Is anyone thinking of hosting one? Hmm? Come on. It's May. Inquiring minds want to know.

At Andi's, Becki was saying that she was going to talk someone she knew into having one. I don't remember who she said it was.

I thought about it briefly, but it is only may! :) If eastside is good with folks, I'd be happy to have everyone over.

Oooo, Eastside! Where at on the Eastside? Hmm? Hey, there's always room for 2-3 trades, you know!

Newcastle. It is exit 7 on 405, just north of renton, and south of factoria. Pretty central to everywhere, I'd think.

I have a large yard and a fair amount of parking as long as my neighbors are warned. :)

My husband even likes they idea! :) He said "Great! sounds like fun." whoohoo!!

I've never hosted before, so someone will have to give me pointers on what to do. I like the whole pot luck deal, so providing tables and chairs is a must. (haha) What have those of you who have hosted done behind the scene that we participants may not have noticed?

Mid September is when Teresa held her exchange last fall. You still have great weather, but the garden is slowing down. I have a number of seedlings that I'm transplanting up to 4" pots for a late summer trade. I also have about 20 hostas in 1 gal pots, rogersia and darmera in 1 gals, etc.

I could not make either of the May trades; already very busy. And now it's a battle with the weeds and slugs. But this year my garden turns 4 and it's really productive. I divided 7 clumps of hostas and turned them into 29 clumps.

I'm having a new idea for the Nov. Green Elephant. I have been saving up flats and 4" pots so that everyone can winter-sow and label seeds at the exchange; take home 25 new things in one flat.

Just LMK when and where in early fall.
