WANTED: Lincoln City Plant Exchange this Saturday

This Saturday, May 13, the Connie Hansen Garden in Lincoln City holds its annual "Mid-May Plant Exchange" from 11:00 - 2:00. It works like a potluck, where everyone brings whatever plants they have to offer and takes whatever plants seem like a good trade. I have been amazed at the variety of choice healthy plants people bring to this event.

Connie's Garden is at the peak of its Rhododentron bloom now, well worth making the trip just to wander the paths. Perhaps one of you can identify the 10' fall intensely fragrant yellow azalea that grows over the creek.

So when you come down to the Central Oregon Coast this weekend, bring your extra garden plants, potted or in plastic bags, and choose something new for your garden.

To find the garden, take Hwy 101 into Lincoln City. Turn right at NW 33rd st, toward the ocean. The garden entrance is on your right. If you have never visited before, you are in for a lovely surprise.
