How about trying one of the small Rolodex's they sell at Office Depot. You could file by either the name of the person or the plant.

I make files/folders on my outlook express that I title future trades, spring trade or fall trade etc.
Then I right click on the email and click on copy to folder and place the email in that file so when that trade date comes near I can check on all the prearranged trades.
I used to also keep a notebook when I was trading non-locally.

Keeping track of trades is dicey when the timing is off. I made a spread sheet that I print out and write in all the important information so that I can keep the facts straight. I also tend to do all my seed trading in one 3-week period in late Oct so that I don't get all mixed up.

The catagories for the spreadsheet form are:

Trader Name
Contact Date
GardenWeb Name
Edress
Address
Their Seeds
Receive Date
My Seeds
Send Date

I like the rolodex idea too. I find that I make trades with some of the same people each fall.
