Congrats on your first brug...like the potato chip commercial used to say "betcha can't eat just one" (not that I'm suggesting eating this poisonous plant!...it's just very easy to become very addicted to collecting brugs!). 'Charles Grimaldi' is a classic; easy to grow and a great performer. Before long you'll be wanting the pinks & the oranges..and the doubles!! Wait until you see the "tendrils" (petal tips) on brugs like 'Miss Emily Mackenzie' and 'Northern Peaks' and such doubles as 'New Orleans Lady', 'Peanut' & 'Day Dreams'.

Be cautious about ordering brugs on eBay - there are some unscrupulous people there who will rip you off, in spite of the fact that some are very good....let the buyer beware.

You may learn a lot from the brugmansia societies: BGI - Brugmansia Growers International....and ABADS - American Brugmansia and Datura Society. Both have web sites with lots of information and photo galleries that will make your mouth water (altho ABADS may, or may not, be shut down. In addition, there is a brugmansia forum here on GW and another on Network54.

On top of that, there are a couple of brugmansia books on the market...one by Monika Gottschalk (in German with an English text supplement) and another by Ulrike and Hans-Georg Preissel. Amazon.com is a potential source.

Before you know it, you'll be trading cutting & starting hybrid seeds, anxious to see if you get something special.
