I really hope a lot of you can make it this year since I have tons of plants to get rid of. No trades are necessary but, of course, you all know I won't turn much down! It will be from 10 AM until everybody has enough and wants to go home. I always have a little cookout so no one has to worry about lunch (a lot of you have to drive a ways to get here).

Directions: Take Exit 39 off I-5. If you're coming from the south, turn right at the light, and immediately get into the left lane for a left turn at the next light, (about 50 feet.) Turn left on Minor Rd./Kelso Dr. and continue up the hill to the stop sign, which is Mt. Brynion Rd. Turn right onto Mt. Brynion Rd. and go almost exactly 5 miles. The mail box numbers will be in the 4300 series. Look for Bear Creek Rd. off to the left. It is a dirt road, and you won't see any houses. Turn left on Bear Creek Rd., and we are the second house you come to. (171 Bear Creek Rd.).

If you are coming from the North, turn left at the light. Go to the second light, and turn left onto Minor Rd/Kelso Dr. and then follow the directions above.

Is there anything in particular you're looking for? If there's anything on my list you want, I'll be happy to set it aside for you. We're always happy to welcome newcomers, lurkers or not! And bring a friend if you want.

    Hey Barb,

Mom and I are planning on attending. We will bring your knife. I already put it in my purse, so let's hope I don't have to go through security somewhere before your trade.

Would you like some Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' (black mondo grass)? I love how it looks with Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' (golden creeping Jenny). I can bring both...

We still have a lot of winter-sown vegetgables, and I will be bringing them. See you Oct 2!

I'm so happy you and Marie are going to make it! I would love the black mondo, but I've been fighting creeping Jenny forever so don't think I'll add any more of it. LOL. Is there anything special you're looking for? I'm going to try to get some more things dug up. I know I have Russian sage and a lot more that needs to be divided. If you have an extra yucca, my neighbor Susan lost the one she got from you in the hard freeze we had and I know she would really appreciate another one.

We set aside a yucca and a black mondo grass. Wish I could bring more than one mondo grass, but I bought ten plants to divide and sell next spring, so you're getting one that was left over after I filled the flats. We aren't really looking for anything special, but I wouldn't turn down a Russian sage. Oh, and I forgot to tell you - do you remember that plant we dug out of your garden last spring that we couldn't identify? I feel certain it is a catchfly (Silene). It's doing very well. The pulmonaria you dug up for Mom and me are doing very well, too. Some of the baby pulmonarias I've gotten from you in past trades put on a growth spurt this last summer, and have caught up with the plant we dug last May. And the seedling sea hollies you gave me have really grown! Do you have more seedlings?

I have quite a few sea hollies, but keep in mind that they do spread very well. You may have more than you want by next spring. LOL. I'm trying to get a few more things added to my trade list. I have strawberries, probably alpine Golden Alexander and white, as well as Pink Pandas. I just bought a viola soraria "Freckles" last weekend and it looks like it has several baby starts around it. There are quite a few baby Lady's Mantle, but I'm sure you have plenty of that. More to come later.
