I'd like to try this grass. Let me know if you would like to trade and I'll do my best to find something for you. Thanks

Flora

I have lots of Milium effusum "Bowles Golden Grass"--it is NOT the evergreen kind. It comes up very yellow in early spring, and gets nice airy seed heads (that need to be cut off before they dry and send seed everywhere in your garden). I love the look of it in the spring, and trim it after it flowers--it's a grass, so it does keep growing again nice and yellow.

There is also a Carex elata 'Aurea' "Bowles Golden Sedge" that IS evergreen. I trim last years growth off in late winter so the new growth looks nicer. I may be able to get a small piece divided for you.

Which one did you want?

Judy

RE: WANTED: Bowless grass for Poulsbo

Hi Judy: Thanks for the response (pictures and all). How do some people get to be so efficient? :)
I have had the first grass you mentioned but being being a very disorganized gardener I would forget to cut the flowers and then would have it everywhere and although I love, love, the color it was more work that I am willing to tackle. So, definetely I'd love to havethe 'Aurea' "Bowles Golden Sedge"if you can spare a tiny piece. I am going to post a few more things I have--let me know if I can bring you anything.
