WANTED: ?'s pond or puddle,want plants

Hi, I am new to this forum/trade.I have been a member since 2004 on the plant exchange-now we have a small pond and I have questions.. a lot of them!Actually it is my S/O's pond mostly.

He has a few fish in it-Bass and sunfish/carp. Only 6 I beleive. We have tadpoles,frogs,snakes and a turtle in it. A few plants-water lily and some grass.

My 1st question to start with is will this pond clear up and how long will it take? It is only about 3-4 feet deep and is still cloudy.It was dug over a month ago.Approx. 50'L X 8 W.

#2 There is a fresh water run off constantly running but not a fast stream. Do we need a pump?

How many fish is too many? Plants? We have about 6 plants.

Any help appreciated and plant trades are welcome also!

What you have is a man made spring fed mud pond, right? There is no liner, right? Have you got a photo of it? Do you know what plants that you have in it, exactly? If you want to look at a few plants that are native to the South to see if you have any of them up North, just follow the link below. You will have to look though to see what is aquatic and what is not. You may email me if you need any help with any plant that you find interesting.
