WANTED: looking for various water plants

I have a pond & a few outside fish tanks (tropicals/live bearers), and I am looking to give the fish some hiding/eating/bearing places. I'm not sure what plants would do well in my zone as I have never done this before, nor do I know what plants will be safe for my fish. If you have some plants you think would do well with me send me the names of them so I can research them or at least find a picture of them so I know what I am getting. :)
I obviously don't have any aquatic plants to offer in trade, but I can pay postage or send seeds/bulbs from garden plants I am growing.
In case anyone is wondering, the fish I am raising are: Florida Killie fish (wild), sword tail mollies, platties, comment gold fish, koi, guppies and a red eared slider turtle.
The turtle is about 6 months old and has decided he likes live prey so now we have gone into the fish breeding bussiness to keep him happy! :)
