| My daughter has a large natural pond on her property that gets overgrown with this plant every year. It's about the shape of a 'dollarweed' but maybe 4" big. It is trying to take over the pond, starting at the edges. What can they kill the plants with that won't hurt the fish & turtles. Ducks also on the pond pretty often.

| I don't know where you are located, but you should check with your County Extension System Office. You should be able to find it on the internet or in the Telephone Book in the Government section. They should be able to help you out & give you some options. |

| SOOO not organic, however, glyphosate will do the trick. That's the active ingredient in Round-Up. The problem with Round-Up isn't what you might think. The problem is that it has a detergent in it, designed to make it "thinner", (less surface tension, a surfactant), and the detergent is poisonous to plants and animals. The glyphosate just stops the photosynthesis cycle- which your fish and turtles are not reliant on. Look up something called Fusillade II (fluazifop-P-butyl), Eraser-AQ (glyphosate), and then a non-detergent type of surfactant like Dyne-Amic. |
