WANTED: Wanted: Lotus seeds for educational use

I am currently taking a plant propagation class at Fullerton College in California, and we would love to have some lotus seeds to try. After they get growing the plants will be sold at the college plant sale that funds the department. Smaller growing species would be preferred, but we'd be happy for anything. Any suggestions for other semi-easy aquatic seeds to germinate would be appreciated as well.
