Hello. I am new to aquatic plant. I have fish for about 1 years and would like to make them a better home this Chrismas. I heard that Java Moss and Java Fern are begginner plants so I would like to try with them. I don't really have something to trade, especially plants stuff, as well as big money for aquabid or big shipping fee. Please anyone that have too much that need to throw away, please consider giving me. Thank you

Are you talking about pond fish or aquarium? Neither java moss nor java fern are hardy outdoors here in Portland.

IF you have an outdoor pond, I would be happy to share some pond plants with you.

I do not recommend java moss, it is horribly invasive in an aquarium. I broke mine down and bleached the gravel and it still came back...gave away my fish and gave up....

Hi. I am keeping aquarium.I am a newbie to plant so I think I should start with evasive plant first. Also, if I can have a moss tank, I would try shrimp too as shrimps like to breed in moss that would be nice.

Snails do not keep algae or debris under control. They eat plants. I would never introduce them to an aquarium or pond on purpose.
