Northwestern Ontario Lynx

These pictures were taken today by my daughter and i. We saw the lynx - four altogether, though we only got pictures of three - at my son's property in Quibell, Ont. It was truly incredible seeing these animals and watching them for so long!

You'll have to copy and paste - and i hope it works! - because it won't accept this link in the space for it. Shrug.

Wow Marcia...those are incredible pictures!! How far away were they? They look so close, or do you have a really good zoom lens?? What a neat experience that must have been!

Great photos Marcia!!! I just love those cats!

Verena, we were just about 6-8 feet away from the one eating the bunny. The other one was a few feet beyond him. My camera is new and i haven't figured out the close zoom yet, so the really up close pictures are my daughter's. We have the same camera - she can zoom but not video. I did that. There's a link below.

Very cool Marcia! My grandson and I saw a fox in the backyard the other day and got very excited because he dug himself a nest in the snow and scrubbrush to sleep in awhile. Nothing like a lynx though! Lucky you to get such great shots! Debbie.

That's amazing that they let you get that close Marcia! Those are great pictures though....what kind of camera was used?

I would have loved to have been able to experience something like that. It's a once in a life time experience, if you're lucky that is!

The camera is a Fugi Finepix A820. I just got it at Christmas time and haven't figured a lot of it out yet. My daughter took the close-up pictures - she has the same camera. I'll need to get the macros figured out by bloom season!
