For Sharon - Making a Collage

Hi Sharon, you asked about making a collage with Jasc Paint Shop Pro - it's pretty easy.

All I did was open a picture of phlox that had extra room around the edges

- then open another pic of phlox

- crop it to just the flower

- hit "Copy"

- go back to the original pic

- hit "Paste -> As a New Layer"

- If necessary go into "Image" and "Resize", if you uncheck the box "resize all layers" it will just do the piece you just pasted

- Use the "move" tool to move the new layer wherever you want

- Repeat for as many more pics as you want to add. If you have the menu on at the right you will be able to see and control each one as its own layer.

Jasc is a good program, it took me a little playing around to figure out what it can all do but it's reasonably friendly.

I've had PSP7 for years now and IÂve never experimented with all the fun things you can to do with it yet.

Not a collage, but I did learn how to copy and paste, I also used a butterfly tube.

So what else can you teach me Gil ;) LOL

Looks like a page done at a scrapbooking course, Sharon. Very nice. I'm jealous. I love my Macintosh, but I don't think there's photo editing software for my computer that would let me do this. I'd love to be told otherwise!!!

Nice! I like the butterflies. I actually replied to this and typed out another tutorial but Gardenweb ate it!! Grrrr! So I meant to come back and type it again but I haven't had time. It was on background removal which is fun. I will get around to it later. :0)
