Thanks for the get well wishes. The swelling is starting to go down finally after lots of Benadryl. At least I can open it now. They figure I got bit during the night by something. The only thing I can think of is a black-fly. If it was a spider or wasp you would see the bite mark.

Oh well, I spent the talking on the phone and baking. I now have some tasty rhubarb muffins and squares I wouldn't of had otherwise.

Maybe a sand fly - my mom really swells bad from those bites, but they itch something fierce too. I'm allergic to deer fly bites so when they're out, I'm not. Usually that coincides with really hot weather, not my favourite time to garden anyway. Anyway, glad to hear you're on the mend.

The eye is back to normal now. Still don't know what bit me but I'm sure if I get bit by the same type of bug I'll figure it out. Hopefully not on the eyelid again. Thanks for all the sympathy.
