We have been "artistically" carving pumpkins for about 20 years now since my oldest son was about 5. We usually do about 5 or 6 for halloween and we used to get people driving to our house to look at our jack 'o lanterns every year. Now, there are more and more people discovering the fun of the art and the carving industry has really blossomed. I really enjoy seeing the works people create every year.

These sites that you found are great, Marcia. I always thought it would be neat to have some way of instantly seeing the design once it is carved. If people are interested, take a search for pumpkin carving and you will find many, many sites. There are great instructions and lots of free patterns on the web. Or get inventive and create your own.
