Awesome "H"s Sharon..that red double hollyhock hyacinth is fantastic. Not only am I being lazy this winter but it seems I have lost some of my picture files. I guess I was over zealous cleaning themup 8-(
Hanging baskets..tidal waves..this was the last year to hang them on the ends of the big arbor because the clematis is taking up that area now.

Savonna,

I am wondering whether the Husker's Red Penstemon that you got seeds of, from Marcia, might have been crossed with a green leafed penstemon. Marcia, do you have any other kinds of penstemon in your yard?

Here is Husker's Red. Notice the red stems, purple leaves and the baby pink-whitish flowers.

My turn for the H's....

deer ‘hamburger’. In the fall we save a few roasts, the tenderloin and sometimes the ribs from each deer the guys get. Then, the rest of the meat I take to my mom and dad's and use their commercial equipment, grind the meat up to make 'hamburger' and then keep some as ground meat, some I make into fresh frying sausage and some into salami. It's good!!

If you look closely you can see the outline of the Hummingbird at the feeder. I don't know why the camera didn't get the actual hummingbird, but I rather like this picture.

The Hummingbird moth actually stayed still for a second!!

Hot Lips campanula was new in the summer of 2007. It is a cute little campanula.

Heliopsis blooms for so long each year. It makes a great perennial for anyone’s garden.

Here is the Hosta order from Hostageek...2 boxes worth. I ended up getting about 150 new hostas in total this past summer, made 2 new large beds with them and filled in lots of empty spots in existing beds.

Great photos everyone.

Brenda, slow shutter speed caused the hummingbird pic. Basically the bird was moving fast and the camera wasn't fast enough to stop the action. Excellent pic of the hummingbird moth!!!
