| Here are the R's I have for this year... This rainbow looked like it was hitting the highway in front of us as we were driving on highway 101 in California on holidays in the beginning of February 2009.
There is a huge Redwood tree, called the Chandelier Tree or the Drive-Thru Tree in California, just off the #101 Highway that we just had to stop at and of course, drive thru. http://www.drivethrutree.com/park.html Also, the road that takes you to the tree is more like a one way narrow road/trail and all of a sudden in the trees you come to a spot where they charge admission. Well, you are unable to turn around, so, of course, you pay so you can keep on going and see this amazingly huge tree. We were going to anyways but still....they got you. Wonder what would happen if you say you didn’t want to pay ... hmmm...
Now for some plants from my yard... Royal Velours Clematis looked like a rich reddish purple by the picture on the clematis pot, but in real life it is more red than purple. It also has a very small flower. We will see what the clematis looks like when it is mature.
And some daylilies... Here is Raspberry Candy Daylily. Love the raspberry eye against the white of the petals.
Raspberry Pixie Daylily
Rhythm In Pink Daylily
Rogue's Masquerade Daylily
Rose Emily Daylily
Roswitha Daylily
Rose Bud Geranium is an annual geranium with cute little double rose bud type flowers.
Red Admiral Geranium or Cranesbill is the perennial geranium that does not have a red flower contrary to its name, rather it is a darker pink towards the purples.
Revolution Hosta
Rapscallion Iris, SDB
Razzledazzle Iris, SDB
Red Heart Iris, SDB...I love the large red thumbprint on the falls!
Rhein Nixe Iris
Ruffled Velvet Iris, Siberian
Round Up on Cherry Garden Iris. Doesn’t the iris I accidentally sprayed look kind of neat! At least I have lots of Cherry Garden so I didn’t worry about it. Next year it will be back to normal.
In comparison to a normal Cherry Garden...
Regatta Lily
And a front shot of Regatta...Love this picture!!
Royal Present Lily
Red Cauli Sedum. Just look at the red stems on this sedum!
Here are the flowers later in mid Sept.
Rosy Glow Sedum in June. This fall I need to get pictures of the flowers as I missed doing so in 2008.
