    Awesome pictures Sharon! Your Maisy looks a lot like our Sandy. The same colouring and long, soft fine fur and that look of gentleness in the face.

    I'm finally getting caught up with the alphabet....it's sure been nice being able to go back through all the pictures from last summer and remember how things looked before all this snow and freezing temperatures.

    Now for my M's:

    'Minuet' clematis.
    {{gwi:701067}}

    'Mary Reed' daylily that I got from Brenda, thanks!
    {{gwi:701068}}

    'Montana Albomarginata' hosta on the left and maiden hair fern in the bottom center.
    {{gwi:701069}}

    Masterwort 'Roma' that I got from Brenda, thanks again!
    {{gwi:701071}}

    Mock Orange flowers....this is one of my all time favourite scents.

    'Menton' lily

    'Merry Spring' lily

    Marsh Marigold
    {{gwi:701081}}

    Well, apparently Photobucket thinks I've posted enough M pictures for now, as it's stalled completely. I know I've got at least one more picture that I can post later.

    I was waiting to get going on the 'M's. You see, I then have the reason to go through my database, check with my digital pictures and update my photobucket album with the perennial pictures. So, here are the M's I have...

    Moly Allium. I like this little allium with its bright 1/2" yellow flowers.

    {{gwi:701102}}

    Mother of Pearl Balloon Flower is a pale pink with an underlying luster of pearl.

    {{gwi:701104}}

    This one I call my 'mini' bellflower. Its foliage is about 1" high and when flowering is about 3" high. I have no clue as to is name but it is definitely hardy. It has been growing under a maple tree for the past 10 years without any extra watering, fertilizer and in part shade.

    {{gwi:701105}}

    Markhamii clematis is the first clematis in the yard to bloom. With all the new purchases of clematis I did last summer I wonder if any others will be earlier than this one.

    {{gwi:701107}}

    Max Frei Cranesbill...

    {{gwi:701109}}

    Now for some daylilies...

    Mae Graham has the most beautiful large 6.5" flowers on an 18" scape.

    {{gwi:701111}}

    Malaysian Monarch bloomed last year just after I got it. So, I am expecting next years blooms to be even better.

    {{gwi:701113}}

    Maria Tillsbury is a creamy pink.

    {{gwi:701115}}

    Mary Reed blooms and blooms and blooms.

    {{gwi:701117}}

    Mauna Loa is a really nice pumpkin orange.

    {{gwi:701120}}

    Milk Chocolate Daylily is a brown daylily, about the color of the chocolate milk I am drinking as I type this.

    {{gwi:701121}}

    In the landscaping growing on the tree circles we have as the walkway were some really neat mushrooms last summer.

    {{gwi:701123}}

    I will post more later.

    Wow, Gillian, your mock orange is sure covered in flowers for such a little thing! Mine is about 5.5 feet tall, and probably has the same amount of flowers as yours, but spread out all over. I'm wondering if it wouldn't benefit with a good pruning this year?

    Brenda, I love the colouring on your Mary Reed. Hopefully mine will have the same dark colouring once it matures a bit. Is yours in full sun? I can't get over the amount of buds on it too!

    Brenda, Mae Graham is such a pretty pink. And every year I *almost* buy Mauna Loa from Vivaces... I think I will do it this year, it's so bright!

    Laurie, I always prune my Mock Oranges really hard. I usually do it right after blooming and again in the late summer if there's any spindly growth. I'm sure it makes them bloom better. I had a nice big one at the old house...I was going to post a picture but apparently Photobucket is doing site maintenance. Grrr.

    Laurie, Mary Reed daylily is planted on the northeast corner of an evergreen so it gets some shade during the day from the greenhouse and the evergreen.
