Last fall I found a batch of slug eggs when I was tipping plants out of pots.
This spider was walking on the grass on our lawn in mid Sept. I love its red body with the dots of white on it. Anyone know what kind of spider it is?

Last summer was the first time I saw the Spiny Rose Gall on my roses. Right after this picture was taken the affected leaves and gall was thrown into the garbage. I will be watching for these little spiny balls next summer on my roses!
