| Oh, what a happy little face that is to see! I checked mine a couple of days ago, and nothing yet, but I'm sure there'll be something in a day or two. I love spring!!! |

Snow Crocus
Ahh, a little cheating here, remember those bulbs/plants that I bought at clearance sale price at Veseys late last fall, they were overwintering in the pumphouse and I brought them up today. Those little cheery blooms made my day ;) Sharon |
|
| awww..they are a sight for snow blind eyes..lol..Sharon I approve of your kind of cheating..I keep looking but all I see is a few noses out of the ground around here so keep the pictures coming..savona |

| Sharon, I love that rich blue of those reticulatas! I noticed 2 days ago that mine are starting to poke up out of the ground, so they'll be blooming shortly as it doesn't take them long. Here's a pic of one of the clumps of my snow crocus that started blooming yesterday. It won't be long before we'll have to get the weekly picture thread going again..... I can hardly wait!! |

| Oh man this is just what I need to see on a day like this! Awesome blooms and great colours to brighten the spirits on this miserable weather day! LOL I cannot wait to start seeing the weekly thread start up again for two reasons. Number one, gotta love seeing those bloomers and number two, I gots me a new fun toy to "play" with... hubby surprised me with a Canon Rebel Digital SLR camera about a month ago! YAY!!!! |

| I love that Anemone, Sharon. One of my friends mothers just loves any type of anemone. And I am wrong about my Chionodoxa forbesii. I believe they are Siberian Scilla. I received the bulbs from my grandmothers farm the other year. And I was sure they were glory of the snow. But I purchased some Chionodoxa forbesii bulbs last fall and the 2 are nothing alike. | Shelley, I believe the ones from your grandma's farm are called Scilla siberica, the flowers nod down, Chionodoxa forbesii face up. Sharon |
Here is a link that might be useful: Scilla siberica

| What a pretty blue primrose wpg_girl, wish you knew the name! Shelley, Blue Girl is so pretty! Two more blooming today....
Sharon |
|
| Sorry, I'm terrible with names. Especially the scientific names. And there are so many types of primroses! I'm not even sure what variety I have. |
|
| Everyone's pics are just awesome! (not only in this message, but the others as well) You are not only great gardeners, but take beautiful photo's too! Debbie |
