Wild Spring Pics

We had about 60 swans stop on the slough in our field. I was slowly sneaking up taking pictures with the telephoto lens when my goofy dog decided to chase the big birds.

The prairie crocuses were lovely when I walked down to the pasture on Sunday.

I sure enjoyed our 4 days of spring! Today we're at a balmy -1 at noon.

Great pics, thanks for sharing. I really like the flying swans shot. Prairie crocuses are very pretty.

What a beautiful field of prairie crocuses! We have to go quite a distance to find any around here. You are way ahead of us in the season also. Nothing is coming up here yet. It's been below normal yet again this April!
I enjoyed the swans also.

Yes, we did have spring. It lasted about a week - there were even a couple of summer days - now we're back in the cold and the few things that had started are looking somewhat the worse for wear.

Awesome pics!!!!! I am so jealous that you get to see wildlife on a regular basis in the country! I took one of the dogs for a walk tonight and saw three rabbits hopping up the sidewalk as I headed out the front. I think they were heading to the feed lot that is my front yard. DH puts out oats and hay every night for them.
I'd rather have swans!
