Romance snow crocus. Very tiny flowers. Personally, these are not one of my favorites.

| Very pretty Shelley! Those are some wild looking stamen on those Turkestanica Tulips! Do ya think anyone would mind if I brought a shovel to your Grandmother's farm too?! ;^) Those Chionodoxa forbesii are really pretty! We've finally had a nice rain for the past couple of days, so things are really growing now. Now the tulips just need a bit of sun to open up.
The stripped scilla are new for me this spring. I like their dainty little flowers. Red Pasque Flower We've had a few people posting pictures of their rhubarb, so I thought I'd post ones of my ornamental ones. And here's Rheum palmatum var. tanguticum. Notice the difference in the shape of the leaves. If the weatherman is right(and when aren't they?LOL)it's supposed to hit 27*C on Wednesday. That'll sure give things a boost! Laurie |

| Yes, those red and white tulips are lovely Sierra! Marcia, congrats on your peony buds. You definitely have to be patient with some peonies don't you? How's your tree peony doing? It seems that I've got a flower bud coming on one of mine! It's only been three years.......so I think it owes me a flower by now!lol Shelley, I'm the same as you, I prefer when the tulips are more closed than wide open, except for the little species types. Here's my Purissima tulips that started blooming a couple of days ago. Creeping phlox Sempre Avanti daffs Russian Almond Nanking cherries with another Russian Almond behind them. | Laurie, the tree peony had a lot of winterkill and is down to a short stick. I'm hoping it will come back. When yours blooms, give it a sniff - mine was not nicely scented at all and i'm wondering if they're all like that. Peonies usually smell so nice that it was a bit of a shock when i stuck my nose in that one! LOL |

| Beautiful spring photos everyone, I can't believe how way ahead you gals are in your gardens, are you sure your zone 3. LOL... My garden is just starting ;) I had some crocus blooming but the damn pocket gopher ate them before I could take a photo!

| Hi all I took these pictures yesterday. I am finally getting some blooms around my yard. It has been so cold so far this spring that everything is slow getting going. Here are a few pics so far:  These are snow pansies. I planted them last year and they survived the winter under the snow and are just starting to bloom now. | The tulip in the first picture is a Greigii tulip...with the red stripes on the leaves. I can't remember the name..as they were planted a few years ago. The second pic shows Kaufmanniana 'fashion' in the back and Kaufmanniana 'ancilla' in the front. Great pics all! Sierra |
