What a difference a day makes!

We had a bit of weather yesterday:

Wednesday, May 23 8:00 PM: Note my maple tree in the back of the picture.

Thursday, May 24 6:15 AM: Check out the tree now.

The snow kept falling until about 11:00 AM. We got about 30 cm. Almost every tree we have looks like this. On the bright side, I no longer have an issue with those spots I thought were getting a little too shady.

Guess what I'm doing this weekend?

Oh dear Connie, that just sucks! I was watching the news last night about Red Deer/ Calgary area and I'm sure the chain saws are going to be busy in the next few weeks.

Whew, luckily this storm missed us.

Wow Connie sorry about your poor trees! But if I may, your spring garden looked very pretty in the before pic :0)

Wow. WOW. : ( To all of you that got hit by this nasty Father Winter, my condolences. Mother Nature will come along very soon and sort the mess out. We've got really high winds tonight that drove me into the house and my plants under cover.

This is such a strange year, isn't it? Right now it feels more like October than May.

A shame about your tree, Connie. And your garden did look very nice. :(

Thanks for the nice comments. I am especially fond of the short yellow flowers - the ones that make the nice puffs of seed? -Haven't gotten them cleared out yet. Well, it's Saturday, the sun is shining, and I'm off to play with my chainsaw. About the only trees that didn't get major damage are the spruce trees, only because we didn't have much wind.
