Another nature walk

I spent the evening out in the bush again. We started out just wanting the share the calypso orchids with a couple more people. But since we were close to Rocky Lake we went there to view the birds. While there we enjoyed roaming in the woods, and found many prairie crocus and more orchids. Then we went and sat on the rocks overlooking the bay where we could observe the red necked grebes and a couple of loons. It was a beautiful evening.

I want to share some of the interesting plants growing right on the rocks.

This little saxifrage was in bloom.

This saxifrage looked like a cloud.

These tiny ferns are just growing in a crack in the rock face.

Just another calypso. I love the moss they grow in.

Hope you're not getting tired of these nature pictures! Marie
