We're having a heat wave, too. The wind is a little stiff, though and things are drying out too fast, but the breeze feels nice in the heat! Burnt the heck out of my back yesterday...ouch! Its so easy to get distracted and not relaize how long you've been out in the sun when you're puttering.

Things are opening up quickly here as well - lots of rain and some heat.

Great blooms everyone! Gotta love all the colour!

Well, I am finally able to share some pics of what's blooming around my place:

I just cannot believe how sparse and/or short everything is this year... but least we are getting some wonderful colours going on and things are blooming!

Janet, i don't have Gigantium but i do have Purple Sensation, and it bloomed a couple of weeks earlier than Christophii.

So, do you think dianthus likes my yard or what? I have several different kinds and they're all like this.

I put roses in the right place, and here is some other stuff

My favorite bed, since there is no maintenance except for clearing the path!

My unknown daylily- the former owners had these verywhere- they even bloom in the north foundation bed!

Larkspur and delph- I'm slowly seeding these in other beds. The pics aren't that great of these but the colors come out

And an aside- the easy way to tell he has spent too much money on garage parts and toys
