What's this??

This is my container that managed to collect all sorts of seeds and maybe some returned perennials (?)from last year that I am just letting grow to see what happens.

My huge mystery for the past week has been "what on earth is that plant with the yellow blooms?" I looked through my notes from last year to see if anything would jump out at me and nope. I am coming up total blank on this one and yet it looks SOOOO familiar!

SOOOO, I'm wondering if any of you can help me figure out what this is? Here's more of a close up of it:

It's a Cinquefoil weed Ang, possibly Potenilla gracilis species.

The tall ones are Sunflowers.

Ahhh, that makes sense! Thanks Sharon! I was thinking that it looked alot like a bush that we used to have (I remember it being some sort of Potentilla) go figure!

Yeah, the tall ones are sunflowers which will be transplanted soon. Some of my sunflowers in the flowerbeds must have gotten eaten by something so these will be replacing those eaten ones!
